About

Life is hard. A professional can help.

If the mere thought of trying to find help seems overwhelming, you're not alone! Finding the right therapist for yourself or your child and setting that first appointment can be an emotional burden on its own. But procrastinating often allows the problem to grow. The earlier you begin your journey towards a happier life, the quicker you will see positive changes. Together we will work to overcome the obstacles and challenges that you are currently experiencing or have experienced in the past. I specialize in different life challenges including anxiety, depression, PTSD and trauma, pandemic stress and transitioning back to normal, relationship issues, divorce, parent/child relational issues, mood disorders, adolescent and young adult issues, grief and loss, and career counseling (adults, high school and college students). I believe my clients are capable of change and being the best version of themselves, and that the relationship and “fit” between therapist and client is critical regardless of the treatment approach. My approach is positive, collaborative and warm. (Scroll down to view career counseling packages) ________________ SCHEDULING Before we have our first session, I would encourage you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation (request appointment online or feel free to call or send me an email). This gives you a chance to discuss your situation and ask any questions to help you see how working together may be helpful. It also gives me a chance to explain our process of working together and for me to make sure that my services are in line with your expectations. After that, we can schedule your first session. ________________ INSURANCE Bianca Cummings is a participating provider for Medicaid (CT Husky). I recommend calling the membership number on the back of your insurance card to verify your benefits or checking the website. Medicaid
Go to www.huskyhealthct.org and do a search in the CT Behavioral Health Partnership section. Please note I will need to obtain your insurance information prior to your appointment to verify your benefits. Other Insurance Plans Bianca Cummings is considered an out-of-network provider for all other plans. Out-of-Network Procedure WHAT THE CLIENT DOES 1. Contact your insurance company to find out what your “Out of Network” benefits are for behavioral health or psychotherapy    2. Pay for sessions in full at the time of the session. You can pay by check, cash, or credit card. Many clients use their Health Savings Account (HSA) if they have one.  3. After you receive the superbill (a receipt of service) by e-mail and download it, you can either upload it to your insurance company's online portal or mail it to them (do NOT send this form back to Bianca Cummings - it must go to your insurance company). Submit the form online or mail it in as soon as you receive it for processing; the sooner they receive it, the sooner you will get reimbursed based on your benefits. WHAT BIANCA CUMMINGS DOES At the end of the month, I will provide you with a "receipt" for the paid dates of service; I will send this to you by e-mail through my user interface, Simple Practice.  I am here for any questions you may have about your superbill.  WHAT THE INSURANCE COMPANY DOES Once the insurance company receives the medical claim form, they will process it and provide you with “Explanation of Benefits (EOB).” Once the out-of-network deductible is met, the insurance company will send you a check to reimburse you for the payment of services. ***Please note: the client, NOT Bianca Cummings, receives payments from the insurance company.*** Step-by-Step Guide to Out-of-Network Benefits - copy/paste the following link: https://blog.zencare.co/guide-to-out-of-network-benefits/ ________________ CAREER EXPLORATION AND COUNSELING PACKAGES CAREER ASSESSMENT PACKAGE FOR STUDENTS AND ADULTS: $540 Is your high school or college student anxious about planning for their future?
